Dieses charmante Literaturhotel wurde in den 1830er Jahren ursprünglich als Kloster gebaut. Da jedoch zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts alle religiösen Orden in Portugal abgeschafft wurden, wurde das Kloster nie wirklich von Nonnen bewohnt und erst viel später in ein Hotel namens Estalagem do Convento umgewandelt. Sein jetziger Besitzer hat es 2015 in das heutige Hotel umgewandelt und dabei den alten Charme und die historische Atmosphäre beibehalten.
