Die Geschichte des Anwesens kann bis ins 16. Jahrhundert zurückverfolgt werden. Die Rekonstruktion des Schlosses selbst begann im Jahr 1810 inmitten eines Waldparks, der von André von Versailles entworfen wurde, welcher als einer der besten französischen Architekten bekannt ist. Das Herrenhaus daneben wurde um das 18. Jahrhundert rum erbaut. 1965 wurde das Schloss in ein Hotel umgewandelt. Die Gäste können an der 2 km langen Privatküste oder im 120 Hektar großen, naturbelassenen Park spazieren gehen und ihren märchenhaften Urlaub in vollen Zügen genießen.
